Vegetable greenhouse becomes a treasure trove for wealth

Inside the dry double mold arched shed, the hot air mixed with the fragrance of soil swept over the face. The large, plump, red and green chili peppers were adorable, and the farmers’ faces were filled with joyful smiles of harvest. “This year’s chili production is very good. It’s time to pickle pickled Chinese cabbage in a few days, and these chilies will be concentrated on the market,” said Wang Fuqing, secretary of the party branch of Wangdazhuang Village.

Wangdazhuang Village, Haizemiao Convenience Service Center in Fugu County, combines rural tourism construction to vigorously develop the facility vegetable and characteristic forest fruit picking industry, making facility vegetables and forest fruits a “treasure trove” for people to increase income and become rich. The village has built a total of 20 double arched greenhouses, with cantaloupes planted in spring and chili peppers planted in the second crop. Each greenhouse earns 20000 yuan and a net annual income of 100000 yuan.

In the adjacent vegetable greenhouse, the tender green melon seedlings are growing vigorously. This year, two new varieties, Boyang Green Treasure and Boyang No. 9, were introduced from Shouguang, Shandong, and are expected to be launched in mid December of the lunar calendar. The vegetable greenhouse is expected to produce 5000 kilograms of melon per greenhouse, calculated at 10 yuan per kilogram. Each greenhouse can achieve a sales revenue of 50000 yuan and a net income of 40000 yuan.
