5G empowers “Hui” to plant tomatoes

Under the empowerment of a wave of “black technologies” such as mobile 5G, the Internet of Things, and blockchain, Luoyang Street has established two sections, namely the 5G smart agriculture demonstration park and the tomato seedling center, driven by agricultural technology innovation. The 5G Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park includes one AI intelligent technology glass greenhouse and seven intelligent technology double film double linked arch sheds. The seedling center includes two single arch single film intelligent technology seedling sheds and one film equipment room, as well as intelligent water and fertilizer, germination room, supplementary light system, water purification system, digital planting control system, monitoring system, etc., unlocking digital passwords for rural revitalization.

Technology has provided an intelligent “umbrella” for agricultural production. What is displayed here is the temperature and humidity of the soil. We don’t need to go to the scene. We can monitor the situation inside the planting greenhouse in real-time in the background, and remote monitoring with mobile phones is also very convenient. “Taizhou Daoji agricultural technicians said as they clicked on the intelligent platform on their phones to view the situation of the greenhouse through video monitoring on the platform. They also operated and managed the greenhouse on their phones based on the temperature, lighting, and other conditions of the day.

The reporter saw on site that the AI intelligent technology glass greenhouse is surrounded and topped by huge pieces of glass, with an openable curtain on the top, a row of large exhaust fans on the side, and a row of tracks on the ground. On the neatly arranged planting slots in the greenhouse, tomato branches and leaves are lush using soilless cultivation techniques, and sensors are inserted in the soil. The next intelligent system will also broadcast the current temperature, humidity, and other parameters of the greenhouse.

It is reported that in the past, such a large greenhouse required multiple workers to run around rolling up and ventilation. With the use of the 5G smart agricultural management platform, one person can easily grasp the real-time dynamics of the greenhouse with a mobile phone, achieving automatic rolling up, automatically adjusting the air volume, temperature, and humidity, reducing planting risks while also improving economic benefits.
