The field is busy with soybean and corn compound planting

In order to further expand the cultivation of soybean crops, improve the level of soybean corn belt composite planting, enhance the ability of the entire region to stabilize grain and expand beans, and promote the sustainable development of agricultural production. Since the beginning of spring, Bozhou District of Zunyi City has been closely focusing on the target tasks, actively integrating land resources, vigorously promoting soybean and corn belt compound planting, improving land output, agricultural production efficiency and economic benefits, and helping to stabilize and increase grain production.

These days, Xiao Zhi, a soybean and corn belt composite planter in Chang’an Village, Sancha Town, is leading workers to transplant corn seedlings according to the “2+3” technical model of “2 rows of corn+3 rows of soybeans”. The field is bustling with activity. From the beginning of planting to the final harvest, agricultural technicians came to provide guidance. Last year, I planted 15 acres, and the income was quite good. Xiao Zhi, who tasted the sweetness, expanded the planting scale this year, adding 55 acres to last year’s increase, totaling 70 acres, with an estimated income of around 200000 yuan. We are currently seizing favorable weather and organizing workers to plant in an orderly manner.

This year, Sancha Town fully leverages the advantages of agricultural industry resources, pays attention to policy promotion, strengthens technical guidance, solidly promotes the work of soybean and corn belt compound planting, and effectively promotes agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income.

This year, Sancha Town has implemented a total of 2000 acres of soybean and corn belt compound planting. According to the ‘3+2’ technology model, 600 acres are planted in Chang’an Village, 200 acres are planted in Hongguang Community and Hongxing Community respectively, totaling 1000 acres for demonstration planting. Other villages (communities) are planting 1000 acres sporadically, and it is expected to be fully planted in mid April. “Luo Guangliang, director of the Agricultural and Rural Service Center of Sancha Town, said.

It is understood that soybean and corn belt composite planting is based on the growth characteristics of soybeans and corn, using the “3+2” planting technology model of “3 rows of soybeans+2 rows of corn” for intercropping and intercropping. By utilizing the plant edge effect, the edge advantage of high position corn crops is more prominent, and the light space of low position soybean crops is more sufficient, thus achieving crop symbiosis and achieving “double harvest in one place”. This is an important measure for the current Bozhou District to fully focus on grain production and important agricultural product supply, and vigorously implement the soybean and oil production capacity improvement project.

Recently, 23 towns (townships, streets) in the entire region have been carrying out work related to soybean and corn belt composite planting, mainly integrating soybean and corn belt composite planting with plastic film coverage sowing and machine sowing. At the same time, actively exploring local suitable composite planting models based on actual conditions, exploring the integration and development of agricultural mechanization and this model according to local conditions, and maximizing the simplification of technology and promoting mountain agricultural mechanization.
