Intelligent Technology Boosts the Whole Process Mechanization of Cotton Production

Focusing on this challenge, the cotton innovation team of the modern agricultural industry technology system in Hebei Province has conducted research and research on the cultivation of new cotton varieties suitable for mechanical picking and the full mechanized production technology of “plowing, planting, management, and harvesting”. They have integrated multiple key technologies for the full mechanization of cotton production, including suitable mechanized varieties, precision sowing, integrated water and fertilizer, systematic adjustment, green prevention and control, mechanical harvesting, and straw returning to the field, We have basically achieved mechanized management of the entire process of cotton from planting to harvesting, and have demonstrated and promoted it in multiple areas in our province, achieving good results.

In order to further enhance the level of intelligent and digital management in cotton production, the cotton innovation team of the modern agricultural industry technology system in Hebei Province has carried out a fusion innovation of mechanization and intelligence in production management based on its original research.

In the pre sowing preparation, the use of intelligent laser Grader significantly improved the flatness of the land, and solved the problem of “large flat and small uneven” of traditional agricultural machinery in the cultivated land, “drought on one side of large farmland irrigation and waterlogging on the other side”, which not only saved water by more than 20%, but also significantly improved the sowing quality.

In the sowing process, the Beidou navigation system was used to solve the problem of “uneven sowing lines and spacing”, achieving precise and precise cotton sowing. This not only ensures neat and consistent emergence of seedlings, but also improves the efficiency of production processes such as intercropping and plant protection in later field management by 30% -40%, and significantly improves the sowing quality.

In the irrigation management process, a smart agricultural management system developed by the national cotton industry technology system is introduced. This system can analyze and diagnose environmental and crop growth information, help users choose scientific fertilizer and water management decisions and remote intelligent control, and create a modern cotton planting scene where a square screen is in charge of ten thousand acres of cotton fields. Compared with traditional irrigation methods, the cotton water and fertilizer integrated intelligent agricultural management system can save more than 20% of water, save more than 80% of water and fertilizer labor costs, and reduce management costs by 80-90 yuan/mu.
