adopts new technologies and methods to create conditions for high cotton yield

Recently, Manas County in Xinjiang ushered in continuous high temperature weather, with the highest temperature once reaching 42 ℃. This has had a negative impact on the growth of 740000 acres of cotton during the flowering and boll period, and local plant protection drones are used for flight prevention operations.

The period from flowering to the beginning of boll opening in cotton is called the flowering and boll period. This period is the fastest growing period for cotton and is also a critical time for determining yield and quality. In the ten thousand mu cotton field in Xigou Village, Manas County, cotton growers are operating UAVs to conduct flight prevention operations. By spraying a mixture of foliar fertilizer, pesticides, etc., they can avoid the occurrence of dry cotton leaves, loss of buds and bolls, diseases and pests.

Compared with traditional manual and mechanical spraying, drone plant protection has advantages such as precision, efficiency, and safety. The atomization is relatively uniform, cotton seedlings are easy to absorb, and the amount of pesticide used is also relatively small, reducing costs.

Manas County in Xinjiang is a national production base of high-quality commodity cotton. In recent years, the local government has continuously adopted new technologies and methods to improve the level of agricultural modernization and create conditions for high cotton yield.
