Jiangxi Xinfeng: Thousands of acres of green beans enjoy a bountiful harvest

Now it is the season of picking and marketing of edamame beans. In Xiniu Town, Xinfeng County, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, more than 1000 mu of edamame beans have been harvested, and villagers are busy picking edamame beans everywhere.

At the soybean planting base, lush soybean leaves are covered in fields, with clusters of green bean petals hanging on the branches under the dense leaves. Dozens of villagers are scattered in groups in the fields, picking, sorting, packaging, and loading, creating a busy and bountiful harvest scene.

We have planted over 1000 acres of soybeans this year, and now we have picked over 400 acres, with a yield of approximately 1500 kilograms per acre. The harvested soybeans are transported back to our Fujian headquarters for processing and then sold to various parts of the country at a price of around 5 yuan per kilogram, which is quite beneficial, “said Yang Wenchong, the person in charge of the soybeans planting base.

It is reported that Xiniu Town has introduced leading agricultural enterprises, rented farmers’ land and idle greenhouses, and developed the soybean planting industry in a “cooperative+enterprise” model. This year, the base has planted more than 1000 acres of soybeans, with an estimated total output value of over 7.5 million yuan. During the planting and harvesting period, a large amount of labor is needed, which can drive more than 100 villagers in the surrounding area to work and also develop and strengthen the village collective economy. Little soybeans have transformed into “little golden beans” that drive the people to become rich.

In order to do a good job in ensuring business safety and helping businesses, and solve the problem of difficult employment for enterprises, we have organized more than 80 people to come to the base to rush to collect soybeans. Calculated at 60 cents per kilogram, each person has at least 180 yuan in income per day, ensuring that the rush is completed before the continuous rainy weather arrives, creating quality and profits for the enterprise, and laying the foundation for the continuous growth of the collective economic income of the village. Currently, the enterprise has increased nearly 300000 yuan in income for the collective of Zengwu Village Zeng Longlong, Secretary of the Party Branch of Zengwu Village in Xiniu Town, introduced.
