Corn and soybeans “hand in hand” start sowing

Under the hot sun, in the demonstration area of 1000 mu of corn and soybean belt composite planting in Caiqin Village, South Shenzao Town, Dongtai City, a combined planter “boomed” forward, with two rows of corn in the middle and four rows of soybeans on both sides. When the machine arrived in the field, the village general party branch secretary Chang Qun went up to check whether the compound fertilizer funnel was blocked from time to time. Xue Genyang, the head of the planting station of the Dongtai Municipal Committee of Agriculture, and Han Huaping, the senior agronomist of the Town Agricultural and Rural Bureau, bent down to check the field planting situation from time to time. When they saw that both corn and soybeans were evenly seeded, everyone was relieved.

Since June 10, the continuous rain and rainstorm have led to the increase of field humidity, which has affected the sowing of maize and soybean in thousand mu demonstration plots. As soon as the weather cleared up, Caiqin Village took measures to seize the sowing season, drill into the sky, clear the ditches and precipitation of the wheat stubble fields, and generally plow and rotate them once to timely cool the water and reduce soil stains, ensuring that the machinery can operate in the field.

Caiqin Village gave full play to the role of mechanization of new corn soybean belt compound planting, and purchased a new type of sowing machine, which integrates four functions of rotary tillage, sowing, fertilization and plant protection, greatly accelerating the sowing progress.

Due to the impact of the plum rain, the sowing of corn and soybeans this year has been postponed. The best time to sow is before July 15th. If postponed, it will affect the yield, “said Xue, the director of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau. The Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Township Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs strengthened their guidance on the demonstration piece of maize and soybean belt compound planting of 1000 mu in Caiqin Village, and sent special personnel to provide on-site guidance.

Caiqin Village attaches great importance to the construction of a thousand acre demonstration film. Chang Qun, the secretary of the village party branch, Chen Jian, the village director, and all village cadres insist on working 24 hours a day and night, resting people and machines, braved high temperatures, fighting on the front line, following the sowing machinery, and doing a good job in timely distribution of seeds and compound fertilizers, ensuring that the machinery is not delayed and sowing is done in a timely manner. Up to now, Caiqin Village has sowed 850 mu of corn and soybeans for compound planting, ensuring that the sowing will be completed before July 13.
