Science popularization sticker: How much do you know about agricultural drones?

Nowadays, the emergence of drones has provided many conveniences and pleasures for people’s lives, and has been widely applied to various industries in society. How much do you know about the classification of agricultural drones? The editor of Changtianyou in this article will introduce the relevant knowledge of agricultural drone classification.

Classification method for agricultural drones:
1、 Power source: oil powered drones and electric drones.
2、 Model structure: fixed wing, single rotor, multi rotor unmanned aerial vehicle.
3、 Takeoff methods: approach takeoff, vertical takeoff, vertical landing, etc.
1. Oil powered drone
Advantages: Large load, strong wind resistance, strong endurance, large operating area, long-term stable operation, and large operating range.
Disadvantages: Incomplete combustion of fuel sprayed onto crops can cause crop pollution; High price, difficult operation, high vibration, and noise generation.
2. Electric drone
Advantages: Environmental protection, no exhaust gas, no pollution to farmland; Good stability, short training period, easy operation and maintenance; Low maintenance costs and low selling prices.
Disadvantages: Small load, short endurance, and weak wind resistance.
3. Fixed wing drone
Fixed wing drones are suitable for applications such as agricultural nutrition information acquisition, disaster warning, maturity estimation, etc., but are not suitable for operations on medium and irregular terrain.
4. Single rotor drone
The medicine box has a large capacity, stable flight, and high operational efficiency; Single rotor is suitable for applications such as pesticide spraying, agricultural geographic information acquisition, and dissemination. But the propeller of a single rotor drone is very likely to cause strong downforce and damage to plants.
5. Multi rotor drone
A helicopter with three or more rotors is called a multi rotor drone or a multi axis drone. The rotor refers to the propeller that provides power, and the shaft refers to the rotating axis of the rotor that provides power.
