According to statistics from the agricultural department, in the spring of 2023, the wheat area in the city was 2.1967 million mu, with the proportion of first and second class seedlings reaching 86.5% respectively. Recently, the Plant Protection Station of Hefei Agricultural Economic and Technological Service Management Station organized technical personnel from the city’s plant protection department to discuss the occurrence trend of major wheat diseases and pests in the middle and later stages, with a focus on scab, and analyzed and determined that wheat scab is more severe or severe.

Previously, spraying pesticides relied on manual labor, with one person completing up to ten acres of land in a day. In front of the 1000 acres of land, five drones could complete the work in three hours, greatly improving labor efficiency. “Liu Qingju, the person in charge of Hefei Dengfeng Agricultural and Forestry Technology Service Co., Ltd., said that drone work not only can quickly and effectively prevent and treat diseases and pests, but also greatly reduce the amount of pesticides and water used, effectively solving problems such as short window periods for wheat scab prevention and control, It has improved the quality of grain crops and promoted increased production and income.
