In a small wheat field in Wangjialou Village, Yaoqiang Street, Jinan High-tech Zone, staff are operating unmanned aerial vehicles to spray foliage fertilizer. In just over ten minutes, the spraying operation has been completed on more than 5 mu of wheat field.

Ji Ying, Director of the Social Affairs Office of the Yaoqiang Sub District Office of Jinan High tech Zone, said that wheat is currently growing well, and traditional agricultural machinery is time-consuming, laborious, and uneven in spraying. From charging, taking off, and spraying drones, it only takes two people to complete the workload of more than a dozen people in the past, greatly saving labor and time for the masses to apply pesticides. They can obtain employment on the spot, which has played a certain role in promoting farmers’ income.

A total of 4 drones are used for this operation, and one drone can load 20 kilograms of fertilizer each time. It can complete the operation amount of 600 acres of land in a day, and the spraying is more uniform. Not only can each mu of land save fertilization costs, but leaf fertilizer can also be quickly absorbed by crop leaves, directly entering the plant body from the leaves, participating in crop metabolism, improving frost resistance and disease resistance. Its speed and effect are faster and better than that of soil fertilization.
