In 2018, Yin Wenjie saw the promising prospects of drone flight defense in the process of agricultural modernization, so he left his place of employment to participate in training in Kunming City to obtain a plant protection drone “flying hand” qualification certificate, and returned to his hometown to officially start his “flying hand” career. “The reason why we chose to come back is that there are more and more high standard farmland in Chuxiong Prefecture, with flat land, centralized and contiguous plots, and complete facilities, creating new demands for agricultural production.” Yin Wenjie said that the plant protection drone integrates functions such as sowing seeds, spraying chemical fertilizers, and spraying pesticides, with simple operation, low cost, and good results, fully meeting the needs of farmers to improve their comprehensive agricultural production capacity.

In 2019, drone pilots were included in the national professional ceremony.
