AI+ Agriculture: Discuss its present, challenges and future

Recently, ChatGPT, a conversational artificial intelligence chat tool developed by US technology startup OpenAI, has set off a wave of “artificial intelligence” craze around the world.

 

For many people, artificial intelligence is often seen as a high-tech achievement that seems to have a distinct distance from our daily work and life. However, in reality, artificial intelligence is constantly penetrating and changing our industry work, lifestyle, and even behavior patterns.

With the development and popularization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the agricultural industry is ushering in a new change, and agriculture has gradually transformed from a traditional labor-intensive industry to a high-tech industry. Today’s agricultural science and technology, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data and other advanced technologies, are constantly promoting the modernization and intelligence of agriculture

Agriculture is a dynamic system full of variables, whether it is climate, soil, seeds, or animals, nutrients, in traditional agricultural production are difficult to accurately monitor, usually rely on decades of experience accumulation of agricultural experts, in order to correctly judge. AI can not only learn based on existing information, but also detect and analyze it based on machine learning, and promote the fine management, detection and optimization of every variable and every production process.

 

 

 

With the introduction of AI technology into agriculture, farmers can use sensors to monitor information to extract feature rules, and use simulators that integrate expert experience to simulate, explore and optimize, thus forming a set of real-time and accurate decision-making schemes. It can be said that AI is the key to improving land use efficiency.

 

In the agricultural production process, farmers need to comprehensively manage multiple factors such as temperature, humidity, soil texture, fertilizer supply, and so on, and these diverse parameters and their correlation provide great room for artificial intelligence. Therefore, when artificial intelligence is introduced in agriculture, the results achieved are undoubtedly significant.
