Drone spraying pesticides to improve production efficiency

Recently, in the corn planting area of Xihanling Township and Kouquan Township, Yungang District, Datong City, with the sound of “buzzing”, under the control of field operators, UAVs sprayed pesticides on the corn fields according to the predetermined route to prevent insect pests. Completing the task of controlling pests and diseases in over 30 acres of corn fields in just 7 minutes saves both time and effort.

It is understood that due to drought in May and June, less precipitation in July, high temperature in the near future and other factors, corn spider disease appears in Yungang District. The Yungang District Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the Guidance on the Prevention and Control of Corn Red Spider to all towns and villages, requiring them to strengthen their sense of territorial responsibility and closely grasp the dynamics of the occurrence; Deepen technical guidance and timely organize prevention and control measures; Actively raise prevention and control materials, and vigorously promote unified prevention and control rule.

The role of drone “flight defense” in modern agricultural production is gradually becoming prominent. Just configure the pesticides according to relevant requirements, set the flight route and altitude in advance through the controller, and the drone can automatically enter the “preset orbit” based on the navigation feedback information to carry out aerial operations, avoiding poisoning and stepping on the fields by spraying personnel.

It is understood that in recent years, the innovative mode of using high-tech to improve the efficiency of agricultural production has become an important measure for Yungang District to vigorously promote rural revitalization and the mechanization of agricultural production throughout the process. By giving play to the leading role of new agricultural operators such as large farmers, family farms, cooperatives and agricultural enterprises, Yungang District uses the financial agricultural machinery purchase subsidy policy to purchase plant protection UAVs to complement the weak points of agricultural production.

According to the preliminary statistics, the grain planting area in Yungang District from January to July was 182500 mu, 100% of the annual grain planting area task, including 136700 mu of corn planting area, 100% of the corn planting area task.
