In the scorching summer of July, the late ripening lychees from Hejiang also arrived as promised. In July, Luzhou Hejiang litchi was mature and listed. Hejiang County set up a temporary litchi trading market in the urban area to facilitate the sales of fruit farmers, traders and tourists.

At the Zhixi Street Fruit Market in Hejiang County, litchi sales are in full swing. Today is the first day of litchi market opening. Customers come to buy litchi in an endless stream, and farmers’ faces are full of joy of harvest.

Yang Guozhu, a big lychee grower, said, “I have planted more than 1000 lychees in my home, and now Da Hong Pao and Feizixiao have come into the market. The price of Da Hong Pao is about eight to ten yuan per kilogram, while that of Feizixiao is about 15 to 20 yuan per kilogram. Now it can sell one or two hundred kilograms per day. Because it is just coming into the market, in the middle of the period, it was about one thousand kilograms per day.”

Fresh lychees fill the entire street, and the green and red colors add a touch of sweetness to the hot summer day. A large, plump, sweet and sour lychee is a unique delicacy in Hejiang summer, loved by locals. Hejiang lychee also attracts many tourists from other places.

In the temporary lychee trading market, major express delivery merchants have also arranged temporary stops to ensure that Hejiang lychees are sold throughout the country, bringing the flavor of their hometown to people in Hejiang who are far away, and allowing relatives and friends from all over the world to taste the “Hejiang flavor”.

It is reported that in order to help litchi sales, Hejiang County has established four temporary litchi trading markets, namely Zhixi Street, Ma Street, Qinglongshan and Meilicheng, and entrusted relevant departments and the Litchi Industry Association to take charge of the daily management of the market. In addition, the online “Litchi Second” APP sales platform will be used to guide litchi planting farmers in the county to settle on the platform, organize farmers to carry out business training, and promote and guide online sales through Tiktok, Toutiao Today and other platforms.
