Digital agriculture “empowers and adds intelligence” for rural revitalization

Entering the seedling breeding base of Baikesheng Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park in Zhaobi Township, Xiyang County, the seedlings are growing happily. A technical worker in the park is using an intelligent aerial watering cart to water tomato seedlings. The amount and flow rate of water are controlled in real time through intelligent equipment, and the digital agriculture technology is used to analyze and view crop growth trends and various environmental parameters.

Since the beginning of this year, the Baike Sheng Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park has continuously improved the level of agricultural digitization, intelligence, and informatization through modern seedling cultivation, new variety promotion, and intelligent operation of agricultural machinery, achieving the goal of increasing profits. The park implements a business model of “company+cooperative+farmer”, established in the county, facing the surrounding areas, leading and driving the development of modern agriculture in Xiyang County and even surrounding areas, promoting more farmers to participate, changing the traditional planting concept of farmers, and walking out a “seedling cultivation technology acquisition” order based modern agriculture path.

At present, the agricultural demonstration park has 17 high-tech, new materials, new technology intensive seedling cultivation intelligent greenhouse greenhouses, with a total area of 38000 square meters, and 1 1800 cubic meters of fresh storage cold storage. All of them use modern and intelligent operation processes, which can cultivate high-quality pepper, tomato, chestnut king pumpkin and other varieties, and can grow 10 million seedlings per year to meet the planting demand of 3000 mu of land.

At the same time, the agricultural demonstration park also adopts advanced digital agricultural technology, including remote monitoring, intelligent control, data analysis, and other aspects, greatly improving crop production efficiency and quality. It is understood that through real-time monitoring and analysis of various data such as soil, meteorology, water sources, etc., agricultural demonstration parks can accurately adjust irrigation, fertilization, etc., ensuring that each crop can obtain the most suitable growth environment. In addition, digital agricultural technology can also predict the possibility of diseases and pests and take timely response measures, greatly reducing the risk of loss.

Li Xianjie, General Manager of Baike Sheng Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park, said, “The traditional greenhouse planting process is very labor-intensive. Since the introduction of digital information platforms, real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, pests and other information in greenhouses and orchards has been achieved. The production process is more intelligent and convenient, better saving resources and improving efficiency, making the operation of the park more efficient, accurate, and intelligent, and also improving efficiency

With the help of digital agricultural technology, the yield and quality of crops in agricultural demonstration parks have significantly improved, and operating costs have also been effectively controlled. At the same time, actively promoting the new variety and technology of “one hole, four plants” ensures good field lighting and ventilation effects while saving time and labor. It is expected that each mu of land can increase production by at least 400 kilograms and increase income by about 500 yuan.

Next, the park will seize the strategic opportunity of rural revitalization, actively respond to the industrial policies of the county and township party committees and governments, invest another 20 million yuan, and actively raise funds to build a high-quality, high standard, and high-energy modern demonstration park. At the same time, actively seeking support from superiors, investing 16 million yuan, utilizing the company’s existing agricultural product processing site to build a new agricultural and sideline product vegetable processing base, continuously promoting the modernization level of the agricultural industry in Xiyang, and promoting stable production and income increase for farmers.
