In recent days, Tunxi District of Mount Huangshan City has used plant protection drones to carry out the “unified control” operation, accurately spraying fertilizers and pesticides for rape, effectively preventing rape diseases and pests, helping the rape industry improve quality and efficiency, and increasing farmers’ income.

In Hansha Village, Tunguang Town, Tunxi District, hundreds of acres of rape flowers are blooming, forming a golden “flower sea”. Tunxi District Agriculture and Rural Bureau organized a professional team to carry out unified prevention and control in the rape field. Plant protection drones shuttle back and forth over large areas of rape fields, rapidly spraying pesticides and foliar fertilizers to achieve precise prevention and control such as promoting growth and development, preventing sclerotinia, and preventing flowers from becoming ineffective. “We mainly use diluted instant boron and other drugs to spray rape using unmanned aerial vehicles. It is expected that we can spray about 500 acres of rape today. In addition, our staff also work overtime, hoping to complete various tasks as soon as possible,” said Pan Huajun, a staff member of the unified defense ruling team in Tunxi District.

Wang Angui, a villager from Hansha Village, Tunguang Town, Tunxi District, told reporters that every year, the quality assurance station in Tunxi District will promptly carry out unified prevention and control, using drones for prevention and control, with significant results, reducing farmers’ prevention and control costs, allowing everyone to have confidence in planting rapeseed in the future.

In a farm in Pangxia Village, Tunxi District, a drone gently skimmed over rape flowers, spraying drugs in the air, and working nervously and orderly back and forth in the golden sea of flowers. By changing the traditional mode of disease and pest control and using unmanned aerial vehicles for flight prevention operations, not only can the amount of labor be significantly reduced, but also the amount of pesticides used is reduced, solving the problem of difficult operations for ordinary people. It has multiple advantages such as time saving, labor saving, and cost reduction, making disease and pest control more economical, safe, and efficient.
