Hubei Lvshen Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. transferred 2,000 mu of land in Hegang Village, Zhangjia Town, Xiangzhou District, mainly planting wheat, rice and rape. This year, the company also used drones to spray wheat fields, and really felt the convenience brought by “smart agriculture”.
The staff calculated an account, the traditional manual manual backpack spraying pesticide, an average person can spray about 15 acres a day, a drone loaded with pesticide 10 minutes can spray 20 acres, an average day can spray about 600 acres. It not only reduces the hard work and saves the input cost, but also has the advantages of high spraying efficiency, better control effect and safer remote control operation compared with the traditional manual spraying. The company deployed four drones to spray pesticide on 2,000 mu of land in a single day, according to the company’s staff.
As a national grain region and key wheat producing area, Xiangzhou has a total of 200,000 mu of wheat popularizing UAV spraying for disease and pest control this year. At the same time, the local government has also organized more than 100 machines and more than 100 technicians to go into the fields to guide farmers face to face in carrying out field management, laying the foundation for a bumper summer grain harvest.
