【 Smart Agriculture 】drone Analysis of the development prospect of spraying UAV in smart agriculture industry

As an important industry of economic and social development, agriculture is closely related to the “double carbon” goal. In recent years, China has attached great importance to the development of smart agriculture, under the “double carbon” goals, with green ecology as a main line, applying digital technology enabling green agriculture, realizing the high standard of fertilizer, livestock and poultry breeding carbon emissions, reducing agricultural system carbon emissions, increasingly becoming an important direction of our smart agriculture development.

Smart agriculture contributes to carbon neutrality

Agriculture is one of the important components of carbon emission in China. In recent years, benefiting from the vigorous promotion of agricultural green development, China has made great achievements in investment reduction and waste utilization, and the role of collaborative carbon reduction has initially appeared. However, agricultural greenhouse gas emission still accounts for 24% of the total greenhouse gas emission in China. Therefore, adjustment of agricultural structure, research and promotion of low carbon emission reduction production technology is not only the practical need to slow down global climate change, but also the sustainable development of Chinese agriculture, and the strategic choice to accelerate the realization of “carbon neutrality”.

According to the data, emissions from energy activities accounted for 73% of the total global greenhouse gas emissions, agriculture, forestry and land use accounted for 18.4% of the total global greenhouse gas emissions, including 11.8% from agricultural activities, 6.4% from land use change and forestry, 5.7% from industrial production processes and 3.2% from waste disposal. Through AI, big data, cloud computing and other technologies, smart agriculture can transform the traditional agricultural production mode of “relying on the weather” into a “controllable” intelligent production mode, realize precise planting and breeding, reduce the carbon emissions of agricultural system, and thus achieve the goal of low carbon.

The smart agriculture industry has a good foundation for development

  1. Market scale of smart agriculture

At present, our wisdom agriculture is still in the primary stage, application penetration rate of wisdom agriculture is still less than 1%. But thanks to the support of social environment and continuous improvement of technology, the smart agriculture industry in China is developing continuously, and the market size continues to grow. Combined with China’s agricultural output value, the market size of China’s smart agriculture is preliminarily estimated to reach 68.5 billion yuan in 2021, and is expected to further grow to 74.3 billion yuan in 2022, with a year-on-year growth of 8.5%.

  1. Intelligent agricultural production link

The proposal and development of smart agriculture plays an important role in the further implementation of the national rural revitalization strategy. Through cloud computing and intelligent management models, smart agriculture will greatly improve the quality of agricultural production and promote the overall upgrading of agriculture. At present, modern agricultural new technologies are mainly reflected in the production links of smart agriculture, including data platform services, UAV plant protection, fine farming, and automatic driving of agricultural machinery, and are widely used in agricultural planting and animal husbandry. Among them, data platform services and UAV plant protection account for 75% in total.

  1. Agricultural UAV ownership

In recent years, the number of agricultural UAVs in China has continued to increase, with an average annual compound growth rate of 83.9%. Data show that the number of agricultural UAVs was 14,000 in 2017, and by the end of 2020, China had produced more than 100,000 of all types of agricultural UAVs, up 81.8% year-on-year. The number of agricultural UAVs in China reached 160,000 in 2021, up 60 percent year-on-year.

  1. Registrations of smart agricultural enterprises

Data from Qiacha show that in recent years, the number of registrations of smart agriculture-related enterprises in China has continued to increase, from 1,208 in 2017 to 3,396 in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate of 41.1%. By the end of 2021, there were 2,638 new smart agriculture-related enterprises in China, down 22.3% year on year.

  1. Policies are good for the development of smart agriculture industry

Intelligent agriculture is the fundamental way out of agriculture, and also an industry vigorously developed by the current country. Our country has given many policies support in the industrialization of intelligent agriculture and intelligent agriculture. For example, in 2021, the central “No. 1 document” proposed to develop smart agriculture, establish a big data system for agriculture and rural areas, and promote the deep integration of the new generation of information technology with agricultural production and operation.

At the same time, with the rapid development of Internet and the national rural revitalization strategy is put forward, support agriculture as the foundation of the national economy industry, is the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other new technology reconstruction and upgrading, the Internet has become an important facilities for agricultural development, agricultural is coruscate gives new powers. Driven by various factors such as the national rural revitalization strategy and the national digital agriculture strategy, the smart agriculture industry has a bright future.

  1. The new generation of information technology promotes the development of the industry

Current, intelligent agriculture in our country shows better potential for development. Innovative technology constantly emerging, fundamentally changed the traditional agricultural development model, through the application of Internet of things technology, artificial intelligence technology, GIS technology and big data technology make Chinese agriculture from the original day dinner change traditional agriculture model for high yield, high efficiency, low consumption, high quality, and the wisdom of safe agricultural ecological pattern. With the continuous development of Internet of Things technology, the transmission network of smart agriculture is further expanded by means of data storage, comprehensive perception and data cloud, and the mode of Internet + smart agriculture continues to emerge.

In the future, with the further use of new technologies and achievements in cloud computing, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and other fields, the continuous extension of all links of agricultural production and management will promote the better development of smart agriculture.
